I did it....

I finally chopped off Campbell's hair. I was tired of fighting him after his bath to get his hair brushed. Ryan and I both miss those curls at the end but we keep telling ourselves that hair will grow. After his nap I almost forgot we did it and had the shock factor when he came out.
I wanted to add that there was a black Hummer but he chose the Barbie Corvette!
Happy Holidays to everyone!

There are a couple things the kids have been doing that I want to remember and maybe embarrass them when they are older!

So Campbell has really enjoyed playing hide-n-seek lately! Its pretty comical because he is not the greatest player. He likes to tell us where he is hiding and we give him hints when we hide. He gets so excited when we play. So much so that we have to send him to the bathroom before we play! Now if you don't like poop stories and get grossed out, you may need to skip to the next paragraph. Campbell gets so excited that he ends up having an accident every time. Its a mess and the game always ends with us cleaning in the bathroom.Poor guy!

Cassie has her first love. Elmo! She is so excited when she sees him whether it be a doll or on the tv. She gets mesmerized. We have been playing short clips for her on the laptop. Now she goes over to the laptop and points and says, "Melmo." Right now we have a gift packed under the tree in a Sesame Street gift bag. She likes to look at it and point and giggle about it! She noticed it almost immediately after I put it under there!
Our friends Dawn and Delaney sent us this shirt for a gift exchange! Isn't she cute!

Cassie has started climbing into the chair and the kids are really cute together cuddling in it!

We had our next door neighbor over for dinner Friday night. At the end of the evening we turned on Charlie Brown Christmas for them to relax. We though this was cute!

Gearing up for Christmas

Christmas is almost here! We have been slowly picking things up so I feel like we are pretty much ready. My mom and dad will be arriving this afternoon for the week.

I will try to get some Chirstmas pics up soon after Christmas!

Here are some pics from Santa and my attempt at a Christmas Card that never materialized. Sorry about that but I ran out of timeand well frankly the kids or rather Cassidy never cooperated enough for me to really get a good picture. You can see that Cassie really likes Santa!

Pictures

Just a couple pictures taken of the kids over the last couple weeks:

Watching Cassie's new obsession, Elmo:

Nothing cuter than a baby in an oversized hat!

Campbell's Christmas Musical

Campbell had his first "performance" ever last night at the preschool musical! It was really cute! Here is a short video of when it started. You have to forgive me because I was not the best videographer. Its tough trying to keep it still, wrestle a 1 year old, and wave when he finally sees us all at the same time. Its cute because you can tell he is searching for us for a quite a while and we were cracking up at his "pout" because he could not find us at first. Anyway, we were proud parents last night and thought they were all so cute and look forward to many more events like this in years to come. Note to self, remember the big camera!!!

And another (again, please forgive my awful videographer skills!) ...

I wanted to post one more but Blogger is giving me trouble so I may try to post it separately.

And some pictures before we left:

I wanted to get a pic of the kids together but Cassie was going to have none of that.

Our attempt at a family portrait with really bad lighting...

Campbell's Birthday Party

As many know, we had to postpone Campbell's party from the original date. Poor guy got sick. He was so sad. Fortuantely we were able to reschedule it for the next weekend and most everyone could still come. We still had to pick up his cake on the original date and poor guy asked for some cake so we couldn't say no since he was already missing his party. So he proceeded to eat one bite and be done. He just did not feel good. Fortunately he was all better by Wednesday. He was still able to spend a lot of time with Grandma & Papa Gaston who had flown out to be at his party. Unfortunately, they lft the day of his party and weren't able to be there after all.

His party was a lot of fun and pretty low key which was pretty nice. We had it at the Athletic Club. They got there and played in the sand for a bit before Ryan took them to the Tennis courts for some games. They had a lot of fun! Cassie wanted to be right there in the middle of it all so I spent a lot of time keeping her out of the way of the balls.

Have you ever seen such organigation at a party?

Cassie having fun and looking cute!

A game called fireball...

Another cute one of Cassidy....

Cassie trying to join in and one Katie took of us...

Campbell before we headed back to the picnic area....

I forgot to grab the camera for a lot of the pinata. This is the one thing that was a deal breaker for Campbell. He really wanted a pinata at his party. The cutest thing was Charlie, the youngest son of our next door neighbor was one of the first to hit. He came over with his hand in his pocket holding the bat upside down hitting it! It was so cute and I missed that picture.

After the candy came out...

Opening presents (Cassie helped)....

Pizza(his favorite again) was late so we ate last...

Cake time:

The End...

I will try to get a general post up with other pictures soon!

Campbell is 4!

Wow am I behind! First, I want to get a proper birthday post in for Mr. Campbell even if I am late!
Campbell has grown so much over the last year! The most exciting change is that he was potty trained! He was quite stubborn on this one and it took a good portion of the year but when he finally took to it, he took to it. He has been working on writing his name as is shown up above! I think he's doing such a great job and he was so proud of himself when he did it for me! He has grown into such a great big brother over the last year. He has so much fun with his sister and you can tell he really loves her. Sometimes a bit too much and well he does annoy her at times but isn't that what big brothers do? I have seen him very protective of his big sister too. He doesn't like other kids messing with her and we have to let him know sometimes that it is okay. His favorite things right now is superheroes! If it has a superheroe in it or on it, he wants it. We still catch him singing a lot too. He's not as into his instruments as he used to be but still loves to sing!
One of my favorite things to do with Campbell is snuggle! He still loves to do this and is so sweet! He wants to be visited by each of us every night before he goes to sleep and there is nothing better than when he tells us he loves us! Everynigt, he likes to have daddy read a story and then mommy come in and rub his back. That is probably my favorite time with him everyday!
His birthday was on a Tuesday this year. His party was scheduled for the next Saturday but we did not want his birthday to go uncelebrated on the actual day. So, that evening, we had his favorite food(pizza) for dinner, opened family presents and had some ice cream cake. He seemed to enjoy his gifts. He played with his new toys for a little bit before going to bed. Typically in the morning he will crawl into bed with us when he gets up. The morning after his birthday, he woke up and went straight into the living room to play with his toys. A little later, he crawled into bed with us and thanked us for his gifts. He was so sweet!
I will do a post about his party with pictures in another post so this one isn't too long.
