Some pics

Not a lot of excitement these days in our world.

Cassidy is busy as ever. The toddler tantrums have started and let me tell you, she is getting so good at them! We went on our first trip to the shoe store and she had a blast. The girl loves her shoes!

We have started working on writing our letters with Campbell in the afternoons. He has improved greatly in the little time we have spent on them so far! We are doing one uppercase letter at a time and have finished up B. C's should be pretty quick as he has been writing those for a while because of his name. He is in a stage where he argues about everything. That is a lot of fun!

Last Friday Ryan and I spent the night in Santa Barbara and ate at the Melting Pot. It was fun and nice to have a night out. Uncle Colt babysat the kids and kept them so entertained that Campbell wanted us to leave when we got home!

On Valentines day we all walked on a trail in upper Ojai. What a great view! Here are some pics of the kids on the path:

The view was unbelievable....Not sure who the house belongs to but we could see Ventura and the beach from up there and the Channel Islands on a good day!

Uncle Colt and Cassidy playing with one of Campbell's toys:

I took these pics this morning and they turned out to be some of my favorite because I didn't have to pull teeth to get them (Thats a temp tatto on his arm from a birthday party on Saturday. He protects it at all cost at bathtime!):

ELMO Video

Well I tried to post this in my last post but it gave me nothing but grief.
This is a quick video of Cassie's reaction when Elmo comes on. Not quite the excitement we always get but thought I would share. Think she's close enough to the tv? Here is a direct link for those that can't get it on here:

A quick update!

Not a lot of excitement in the last month.

Campbell is such a boy and into all the boy things. HIs newest favorite show is Lazy Town. Still really into superheroes. We are trying to tone down his superhero playing though as he can get a little overzealous at times!

Cassidy is getting over a cold. Loves playing with her toys and dancing and getting into Campbell's stuff. Still very much into Elmo! She still loves books and loves being outside. She loves Libby! She sees him and in a cooing voice will say, "DOGGY!" And she will pat and give Libby big hugs. I don't think Libby is crazy about it but she will come to love the attention!
We often find them playing together and it is so sweet! As they are brother and sister though, it often ends in fighting! I often find them having compassion for the other when they are sad about something though. If Campbell is upset she will often give him a hug. If she's upset, Campbell will often come over and kiss her and say, "It's okay, brother's here." Cassie and I picked up Campbell from school and I put her on the ground and they gave each other a big hug. So sweet!
Anyway, here are a couple pics:

Cassie's first pigtails(She won't keep them or any hair clip in for long!)

A very late Christmas post

I know I am so late with this and so very behind. No excuse. Just laziness.
We had a great Christmas! My parents came in for a visit and it was nice!

For the first time ever, we were done shopping a couple days before Christmas. I don't think I was ever not out on Christmas eve buying last minute items. Because we weren't shopping, we were able to do something fun! We took the family bowling! It was so much fun! I can't remember the last time I bowled before that. While bowling we would alternate walking around with Cassidy. After a while, she found the game room and one of those dancing games and she would just stand on the game and dance whenever the recorded default would come on. It was funny because we had the bumpers on for Campbell so that greatly improved most of our scores! I will say that Ryan legitimately kicked our butts!! We went to Christmas eve mass, had dinner and let the kids each open a present. Campbell was very tired by the end of the night!

Christmas morning was great! I don't think Campbell quite got the whole Santa Clause concept just yet as he took his time coming into the living room. The kids actually slept later than expected. Cassie walked in first and went straight to an Elmo doll and then started playing with her kitchen. They got up and looked at their items from Santa Clause and then Nana & Papa got here and we opened gifts. Campbell got games, Star Wars items, and lots of other fun stuff. Cassie's big item was her kitchen and a baby stroller and a few other items. We spent the rest of the day playing and cooking the traditional turkey dinner. Thank you mom and dad for working so hard in the kitchen. I felt like every time I turned around we were busy opening things while they ended up in the kitchen. We really appreciate all your help. Dinner was so yummy!

Looking back, I think one of Campbell's favorites and all of ours actually was the Hullabaloo game! Its a game we have all played together often already. If you have a toddler or young child, I highly recommend this game. So simple but so much fun! For Cassidy and Campbell actually enjoys it a lot its the kitchen! Often when she's upset I will ask her to cook something for me, she goes over there and starts playing with her kitchen. Its a great distraction!

It was nice having my parents out. Its difficult sometimes being so far from family and its so nice having family around during the holidays since its so hard for us to travel home.

And now some pics!

I will have another update soon with some pictures from the last month.
