PJ Day

So today was PJ day at Campbell's school. I told Campbell he got to wear his pj's today. He said, "Are they going to make fun of me?" Already at this age he is worried about that regarding his clothes! I told him no, everyone is supposed to wear them. So we get to school and he sees some of the kids running around but not obvious as far as wearing their pj's. He goes, "MOM! They aren't wearing their pjs! They are going to make fun of me!" Fortunately, I was able to point out his friend Ryan wearing his PJs quickly and it was okay. So he immediately ran to Ryan so they could check out each other's PJs.

No pics today but had to document the story as I thought it was cute and a little bit sad at the same time that they are already dealing with peer scrutiny.

Santa Barbara Zoo

We took a trip to the zoo today! It was a lot of fun! This was Cassidy's first trip that she was able to really understand what we were looking at! We got there and Campbell wanted to get a map and navigate for us. So first thing we did was head to the train for a ride. We were able to look at some animals we passed on the way fortunately. Cassidy was really interested in all the animals we passed on the train and would point and yell, "Mommy!" Campbelll said the ride was a lot of fun too. Once off the train we ended up in the play area and the kids had a blast here. They have this large hill with astroturf and all the kids were sliding down it on their maps. Both kids jumped right in. Last time we were at the zoo, Campbell was slightly nervous on the hill but this time was fine. Cassidy had no fear and was ready to go. After a long playtime, we were able to veiw a few more animals before we headed out. I think the kids and myself probably enjoyed the penguins and the giraffe's the most! I just think the penguins are so adorable!

Here are some pics. You will notice a bruise on Cassie. She had a little accident the other day. She tripped and fell into a table. She trips a lot because she walks on her tip toes.
