Pumpkin Patch 2009

We took the kids to the Pumpkin patch today! The kids enjoyed themselves and we picked out some pumpkins for the house. When we left, Cass kept saying "Bye, Bye Pumpkins!" Campbell, although he was adamant he did not want to go, had a great time when we got there. We rode the hayride and stayed and had lunch at the restaurant. Below are some pics from the trip!

Campbell's first day at the Elementary School!

Campbell started elementary school today! He was so excited! He had his new backpack. We all walked him to school this morning. The Kindergarten class were all meeting in the playground this morning. He was involved in a story with dad but when we got to the fence, he stopped and decided he didn't want to go to his new school after all. We told him it was okay and that we would be there as long as he needed us. He was a little unsure about everything until our next door neighbor got there. They were so cute as they had almost the same shirt on! They had an assembly and spoke to everyone before separating them in groups. They will not have class assignments until Friday but fortunately, we are pretty sure of where he will be as we asked for the Junior K. This is a shared class with some Kindergartners. They will spend the next 2 days going through assessments and getting to know the school. We went back at lunch and hung out. After Lunch they had playtime and then song time before going home. I have a feeling he will sleep well tonight.

Here are some pictures from the day:

Cassidy is 2!

I can't believe Cassidy is 2!!! She had a great birthday! We woke up and Campbell really wanted to give her a present! Campbell has said he wanted to get her Boots from Dora so that is what he gave her! She was really excited and loved it! That evening we celebrated just the family. It was a fun night. She enjoyed her cake and then we opened gifts. Campbell was all too eager to "help" with that! And they then both enjoyed playing with her girly toys!!

I can't believe how much she has grown over the past year. She is getting so big. Using her words more and more! I love when she say Campbell. She always says "Mamble" Okay is always "mhay." So cute! Loves "helping" these days. She is always coming up and hugging on us and saying in the sweetest voice, "mommy" or "daddy" or "mamble." Loving her bedtime routine. After her bath, she immediately wants to get her bath. She takes her bath and then immediately asks for her milk and to read a story. She almost always asks to read "Goodnight Max" these days. This is a library book that we keep renewing. We are in trouble when it goes back in a couple weeks. After story she asks for her blanky and paci and runs to her bed asking to go down. She is a good sleeper! When she and I are out and about just the 2 of us she starts asking where everyone is including the dog. "Where's daddy?" We are working on learning colors and she often sings her ABC's though she doesn't really know them yet she chimes in with the right one every now and then during the song. She is in such a fun stage and I can't wait to watch her continue to grow in front of us!

Here are some pics from her birthday! I apologize they are not in order. The site doesn't make it easy to move it around.

Some pictures

Just a couple of pictures I took over the last couple weeks. As you can see, he has had a haircut!

Birthday and first day of school post coming up!

The Fair

We went to the fair a couple weeks ago. Campbell had a good time playing games. He rode 2 rides. First the bumper boats below. He enjoyed those! Next which surprised me most was the slide. Ryan got him tickets for it and sent him on his way by himself. Most of you that know Campbell know that he is one of the most timid children out there. I expected him to stop about halfway up the stairs and turn around and say he didn't want to do it. But, he made it all the way up and went down it all by himself!! This is a HUGE accomplishment for him!

Cassidy's first playdate!

Cassidy had her first playdate recently. Our next door neighbor asked us to watch their youngest. It was fun watching them play together. She is 8 months younger than Cassidy.

Atlanta Visit

We were busy during our trip to Atlanta last month. As usual, I didn't end up with too many pictures. I find I have more time for pictures in Rome than when in Atlanta. We went to the Atlanta Children's museum and had a great time. Mom and I may have been scammed in the parking lot but once we got inside, the kids had a blast. They ran in opposite directions and kept mom and I busy. Cassidy loved the moon sand station and the painting station. You can see her artwork below. Campbell loved the fishing and the giant crane the most. We tried to sit for a show but miss Cassidy thought she should be in the show! Mom and Campbell watched the show while Cassidy fished for a bit. We saw the Duluth fireworks on the 3rd. It was a great event. I don't know if Cass was scared or amazed. She was in the middle of something and stopped instantly when it started and just sat and took it all in until it was over. She did not move or say a thing. Campbell likes them but gets a bit nervous. We had a great trip!
